Comment:

The poem to which you referred is I Will Not Go Back by Milton Geiger. A version (though not the one I read in High School, though similar) can be found here:     <Link to this poem>
I loved the poem so much in High School I memorized the entire thing, and remember it to this day, nearly forty years later.

Our Author's Response:

Dear Maryanne,

Thank you so very much for identifying that long-beloved poem for me! It is simply wonderful to have the chance to read it in its entirety after all of these decades! You have indeed made my day! The next time that I update MultiFan, I will try to remember to insert proper credit to Milton Geiger.

Again, my sincere thanks!

Run Buddy Run

Comment:

I really want to tell you how much I enjoyed your piece "Run No More." As a Run Buddy Run fan I, like all fans, was left with the show up in the air. This would have been a very cool ending. I have read it several times and can almost see the characters in your version. Great ending for a great show. I have called CBS, and have found the show is sitting on a shelf at the Paramount Studios Library. CBS, was not really very nice and came out and said if I wanted the show released, "don't hold my breath( his exact words.) After a half hour of talking and getting him to realize what great actors were in the show, he said he'd look into it. Haven't heard anything though. If you are looking for episodes, there is a guy selling ten episodes on E-bay. Four are in great shape, Six in fair shape, and the color pilot in poor shape. Definitely worth the twenty-five dollars he's asking. If you want to see the quality of his episodes, check out my website at www.runbuddyrunnow.com. I used the four good ones for all my pics, and my music video, Where's the Lone Ranger When You Need Him?. The guy is very honest and I had no trouble working with him. Again, thank you for the great ending.

Our Author's Response:

Hi Pat,

Thank you so very much for your kind compliments regarding my story. Not only is it a tremendous joy to hear that one's work is appreciated, but it's also a great comfort to know that I'm not the only "Run Buddy Run" fan still in existence.

I also gratefully thank you for the information regarding the availability of episodes on ebay. I have indeed followed through, and purchased them. While I can't help but wish that all of the episodes were included, and in color, I am still absolutely thrilled to be able to obtain at least the majority of them, even in black-and-white.

I did, indeed, check out your website, and found it delightful. I especially appreciated your excellent episode synopses.

Again, my thanks,

DS9 Stories

Comment:

Just wanted to comment on how great your website is! I am absolutely in love with your DS9 Stories. They are the best I have ever read. How often do you add new stories to the website? Or are you done with the story writing thing? Your stories are wonderful! =) -Lindsey

Our Author's Response:

Thank you so very much, Lindsey! Oh, I don稚 think that I値l ever stop writing new stories, but I知 afraid that I知 not very good at keeping to a writing schedule, either. Sometimes the writing-bug will bite, and I値l spend months writing, to the exclusion of all else. At other times, months will go by that I知 completely blocked, during which I値l catch up on my other hobbies. That is why I typically add new stories in bunches, rather than one by one. Again, please accept my very best thanks for the wonderful things that you said!

Run Buddy Run

Comments:

I love this website. Especially the Run Buddy Run Series. I would love to know where I could get DVD's or VHS on this TV series. Thank You

Our Author's Response:

Hi James,

Thank you for your very kind comments. I, too, have always been a fan of Run Buddy Run, a series that definitely deserved a much better chance than it got. Like you, I would dearly love to purchase DVDs or VHSs, but so far, none are available. I was able to provide the themesong of the show on this subsite only because I had recorded it in 1966 on reel-to-reel audiotape! Thanks again for writing.

StoryOrArticle: The I'll-be-a-Monkees-Uncle Affair
Comments: Okay... I started out as an UNCLE fan ... ended up a Monkees fan and remain so to this day. I've also returned to UNCLE after an extended viewing of seasons one and two of NCIS. The story was delightful! I've got a very strange combination that my partner/best friend spouse ... However you'd like to refer to her ... have been writing since we were 14. Started out as fan fiction for the Monkees and ... UNCLE had a brief show in '69 or '70 ... But now we have Xena: Warrior princess in the mix. Makes for a more extensive fantasy aspect with the Greek gods and a lot of drama added in. Just wanted to say, the cross-overs are wonderful! Boni

Our Author's Response:

Hi Boni,
Thank you so very much for your interest, and for letting me know that you liked my crossover! Please keep reading MultiFan, and tell your friends about it! Also, there will soon be many new stories, essays, and two entire new sections: Rabbits and Bryce Gallery!

Thanks again!

StoryOrArticle Your "Fence Trilogy"
Comments: Is this a true story? If it is - I would move to a RED state. I live in a BLUE STATE too! (Massachusetts)
I am as patriotic as the next gal - but that fence looks HIDEOUS. I do not know if I could cut off my
nose to spite my face like you did.

Our Author's Response:

Yes, that story is absolutely true. This is the only house I've ever lived in, and I will never move, certainly not to appease Johnny-come-lately neighbors who have only been in this neighborhood a fraction of the time that I have. For the fence to be hideous is exactly the point: since the nasty, nosy neighbors were saying that my plain, chain-link fence was an eyesore, I am essentially saying back to them, "I'll give you people an eyesore! I'll make your eyes so sore that they won't blink for a year!" Actually, I don't look at it as cutting off my nose to spite my face, because I've grown so used to it, and received so many compliments on it, both from patriots, and from people who feel that my message to presumptuous neighbors is long overdue, that I've gradually learned to find my fence beautiful, both in how it looks, and in what it symbolizes. Thank you for writing!

StoryOrArticle: Space Cases?
Comments: Hi, I found your site via the Space Cases webring and really liked the commentary page, though I'm not familiar with any of your fic. series. I was wondering, however, why there's nothing related to Space Cases, since you're on the ring? Or have I just missed something? Lovely site, -Joy.

Our Author's Response:

Hi Joy,
Thank you for your compliments regarding Commentary. I joined Space Cases WebRing because it was presented as a Lost In Space fandom, and MultiFan contains a Lost In Space subsection. Indeed, Bill Mumy of Lost In Space was listed as one of the originators of Space Cases WebRing.

StoryOrArticle: DS9 Stories
Comments: Wonderful DS9 stories, but who wrote them? I don't recall having ever seen any of the stories before: just curious as to who to thank for the Garak and Dukat stories! :) Thanks, Mooie

Our Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I am very pleased that you enjoyed them, and that you made the effort to let me know. You are correct in that you could never have seen any of the stories before; MultiFan has existed for less than a year, and I have never before placed any of these stories on anyone else's website.

Please tell your friends, and help to acquaint them with MultiFan as well. Please also continue to keep an eye on my website: sometime within the next year, many more DS9 stories (as well as new stories for my other subsites within MultiFan) will be added. Some new stories will even be sequels to the ones that you have enjoyed.

Again, my thanks for your interest.
